Did you miss racing? Because it’s already back!
The second season of the Drag Racing event has officially started in the game — a standalone mode featuring straight-line races, car upgrades, and brand-new rewards.
In Season 2, the storyline, cars, balance, and reward system have all been updated. At the same time, the core mechanics remain familiar, so even if you’ve played before, you’ll get back into it quickly.
In this guide, we’ll explain how the event works, what has changed, and how to progress faster 🤲
What awaits you
First, you’ll need to complete the storyline of the second season. At the beginning, everything is fairly simple: you receive resources, choose your first car, and start upgrading it.
But as you progress, things become more challenging. Fuel limitations appear, parts and blueprints become scarce, and tougher races require more upgraded vehicles. This is completely normal — the game gradually introduces you to all the key mechanics: upgrading, resource farming, and strategic decision-making.
Once you complete the storyline, the focus shifts to other game modes. At this stage, it’s no longer enough to simply own a strong car — you’ll need to consistently win races, manage fuel efficiently, and participate in activities.
The event follows a simple gameplay loop:
story ➡️ upgrades ➡️ new races ➡️ new car
Your main progression path in the event:
entering the storyline
tutorial
choosing a car
completing acts
defeating bosses
How to start participating
When you enter the game, you’ll see a welcome banner.
To join the event, simply open it in any convenient way — either through the HUD icon or via the events menu.
The first time you enter, the story sequence begins immediately: Ray greets you and invites you to visit his garage for a conversation. Shortly after, you meet your mentor — Vega — who will guide you throughout the event.
After the first dialogues and cutscene, the tutorial automatically begins so you can learn the core mechanics and participation rules.
Choosing your starter car
At the beginning of the event, after completing the tutorial, you’ll arrive at the garage where you must choose your first vehicle.
Three starter cars are available:
Nissan Skyline R33
BMW M2 Competition
Ford Mustang VI
All of them have the same starting rarity and are suitable for completing the first races.
Additionally, the event offers a premium-currency vehicle with a higher starting level.
It’s important to understand that in Season 2, choosing a car is only the first step. As you progress through the storyline, a single vehicle will not be enough.
⚠️ Important:
Once you complete an act, the car used to defeat the boss can no longer be used in future stages. Because of this, you’ll gradually need to unlock and upgrade new vehicles.
Story races
The main part of the event is the “Shadow of the First” storyline, which consists of 30 races.
The story is divided into three acts:
10 races per act
each act contains regular races and key boss battles
As you progress, difficulty increases, and upgrading your car becomes essential for victory.
Completing story races rewards you with:
DC (DragCoin) — the event currency used for module upgrades, components, blueprints, and cars
Cash — regular in-game currency
chest keys
upgrade components
car blueprints
reputation for progression and rewards
Boss races provide more valuable rewards and often include blueprints for the bosses’ cars.
After completing the entire storyline, you’ll unlock the opportunity to obtain the final boss’s vehicle.
Vehicle stats and upgrades (very important)
Each car has 3 key parameters:
Max Speed → important for long-distance races
Acceleration → affects launch speed and overall acceleration
Grip → affects launch control and driving stability
You improve these parameters through modules — different car parts:
engine
nitro
transmission
wheels
suspension
Each module can be upgraded through multiple levels using:
DC currency
components
💡 Every module enhances one or several parameters.
For example:
engine → Max Speed
nitro and transmission → Acceleration
wheels and suspension → Grip
Components
Special resources called components are required for upgrades.
They come in several rarities:
common
rare
legendary
Some components are universal and can be used across multiple vehicles.
The higher your upgrade level, the more resources you’ll need.
Available component types:
Fasteners
Block
Crankshaft
Cylinder
Fuel Line
Clutch
Differential
Brake Caliper
Hub
Shock Absorber
Control Arm
⭐ Blueprints
Blueprints are a separate progression system for vehicles.
They are required to:
unlock new cars
increase a car’s star level
Every new star:
boosts all stats simultaneously
significantly increases the car’s overall power
❗️ Important: blueprints are tied to specific vehicles.
What to upgrade first
If you’re unsure where to invest resources:
poor starts or frequent mistakes → upgrade Grip
lacking acceleration → upgrade Acceleration
losing long-distance races → upgrade Max Speed
Now let’s take a closer look at how these mechanics affect races directly.
Race mechanics: what affects the result
🚦 Start
Before the race begins, you need to keep the RPM needle within the green zone.
✅ Hit the green zone — strong launch and faster acceleration
❌ Miss it — you lose valuable time immediately
The higher your Grip stat, the smaller the penalty for launch mistakes.
⚙️ Gear shifting
During the race, you must shift gears at the right time.
✅ Perfect shifts (inside the green zone):
maintain speed
provide faster acceleration
❌ Early or late shifts:
slow the car down
slow the car down
The Acceleration stat helps soften mistakes, but it won’t eliminate them completely.
Nitro provides temporary acceleration — your main boost during races.
It helps you:
accelerate faster
reach top speed more quickly
Best usage timing:
2nd–3rd gear in short races
3rd–4th gear in long races
❗️ Important: nitro won’t save you if your launch or shifting is poor.
Street races
As you progress through the storyline, you’ll eventually face resource shortages. At this point, additional game modes become essential.
Street races are the primary way to farm currency.
Features:
endless races
three difficulty levels
higher difficulty = better rewards
Participation rewards include:
DragCoins
small amounts of reputation
Fuel is required to participate. It replenishes over time or can be purchased with Grand Coins.
This mode serves as a reliable farming method between story races.
Daily Tournament
The Daily Tournament is a limited-time series of 10 races that refreshes every day.
This is one of the most valuable modes for progression, so it’s highly recommended not to skip it.
How it works
You complete races sequentially from 1 to 10
After each race, you move forward even if you lose
Difficulty scales according to your vehicle, keeping races engaging
Important about defeats
If you win — you receive the reward.
If you lose — the reward for that race is lost.
You can retry failed races using premium currency.
There is no limit to retries, but every attempt costs currency.
Rewards
Tournament rewards include:
Components — the most common rewards
Blueprints — awarded in key races (usually races 5 and 10)
DC currency and reputation — rewarded after every race
💡 The most valuable rewards are located in races 5 and 10, so try your best to reach them.
Time limitation
The tournament is available for one day only.
If you fail to complete it in time:
progress resets
unfinished races disappear
unclaimed rewards are lost
Event shop
The shop allows you to speed up progression and obtain missing resources.
Available items include:
Components — for upgrading modules
Blueprints — for unlocking and strengthening cars
Cases — reward packs with random loot
Boosters — temporary buffs
Special offers — resource bundles
The shop refreshes automatically:
components — every 4 hours
blueprints — every 6 hours
You can also manually refresh the shop using premium currency (limited number of times per day).
If you’re searching for a specific resource, checking the shop regularly is worthwhile.
Cases
Cases are boxes containing random rewards.
Several types are available:
Soft Case

Ranked races and leagues
Ranked races are a competitive mode that becomes available several days after the event begins. Here, you compete against other players and climb through leagues.
Everyone starts in the lowest league and gradually advances upward.
Available leagues:
Iron
Bronze
Silver
Gold
Platinum
Each season period lasts several days, during which you earn ranking points through races.
At the end of the period:
🔼 top players advance to higher leagues
➡️ some players remain in place
🔽 weaker results lead to demotion
Higher leagues feature stronger opponents but also significantly better rewards.
Ranked races are limited by energy:
the number of daily races is capped
additional attempts cannot be purchased
careful play and consistent victories are extremely important
👉 Every race matters — simply grinding rating points is not an option.
Rewards
Вы получаете награды сразу в нескольких системах:
🏆 1. SMP Racing League rewards
Rewards depend on:
your league
your final placement
The higher the league, the better the rewards.
Top placements provide the strongest prizes.
🌍 2. Global rankings (leaderboards)
The event includes multiple rankings:
Server Championship
→ based on your activity (story progression, tournaments, races)
SMP Racing Championship

→ contains the most valuable rewards
Battle Pass
The event includes a Battle Pass system that progresses through reputation gain.

👉 Simply log into the game and win at least one race each day — it’s an easy way to earn extra resources.
DC Piggy Bank
The Piggy Bank is a way to earn additional currency through racing.
How it works
DC accumulates in the Piggy Bank after race victories
the Piggy Bank has several fill stages
the fuller it becomes, the more profitable it is to open
💡 Features:
opening the Piggy Bank requires premium currency
higher fill level = greater value
the offer is available only a limited number of times
